CLASSIC CAR ENTHUSIASTS
Silverstone Social was started and is run by Scott Temple. After 17 consecutive years of racing firstly in karts and then in Single Seater Car racing Scott gave up car racing at the age 30 to concentrate on family and business. Scott runs the family Business First Avenue Supplies Ltd in Milton Keynes. The company supplies embroidered clothing to industry.
“I have always been into things from before my time- possibly born into the wrong era! I mainly raced cars that were older than me finishing in a 1977 Crossle Formula Ford 2000. After giving up racing I still wanted a type of four wheel involvement of some kind and Classic Cars were an obvious choice.
I’m fairly new to the Classic Car scene but very much enjoying being involved in something that is more social and less pressurised”.
“After my first year of visiting Classic shows I found there was a slight narrow band in terms of clubs to join and many clubs and events would exclude my car. I decided to start something that was a bit more open minded to the word Classic that didn’t exclude enthusiasts and put variety in a club display”.
Scott currently helps run the Admin of the Facebook pages and takes a lead role in organising all club meets, events and displays.

Class 1 petrolhead. Tendency to favour Italians. Currently run a number of Alfas , a Maserati and have a hankering for a Lancia or two. I have a shady early life where old Fords especially Escorts help sway, I blame it on my father a card carrying Ford man. My first foray away from the Ford fold was to arch rivals GM, via a number of Opels, Kadetts, Ascona, Mantas for some reason they were more rewarding.
Then one day an Alfasud Ti came into my life, a car with character in abundance and the future was set. I’ve lost count how many Alfas I’ve had but it is a large number. In summary a hopeless case, I love cars the rarer the better see my current fleet. A wife and 3 understanding children have come to understand that the day job, as a freelance consultant to many high street retailers, is primarily there to support the obsession.
