Club Organisers

Scott Temple

Silverstone Social was started and is run by Scott Temple. After 17 consecutive years of racing firstly in karts and then in Single Seater Car racing Scott gave up car racing at the age 30 to concentrate on family and business. Scott runs the family Business First Avenue Supplies Ltd in Milton Keynes. The company supplies embroidered clothing to industry.

“I have always been into things from before my time- possibly born into the wrong era! I mainly raced cars that were older than me finishing in a 1977 Crossle Formula Ford 2000. After giving up racing I still wanted a type of four wheel involvement of some kind and Classic Cars were an obvious choice.

I’m fairly new to the Classic Car scene but very much enjoying being involved in something that is more social and less pressurised”.

“After my first year of visiting Classic shows I found there was a slight narrow band in terms of clubs to join and many clubs and events would exclude my car. I decided to start something that was a bit more open minded to the word Classic that didn’t exclude enthusiasts and put variety in a club display”.

Scott currently helps run the Admin of the Facebook pages and takes a lead role in organising all club meets, events and displays.

Martin Mynott - Club Display Coordinator

Martin Joined the Silverstone Social admin team early in the 2019 season. Martin brings a wealth of experience in the running and involvement of Classic Car Clubs with him. Like all of us a massive petrol head Martin has a particular passion for 70s cars and owned various cars from the period most recently Triumphs.

Martins role in the club is head organiser of any independent show the club visit in the form of a Club Display. Key events for Martin are Bicester Sunday Scramble and Sywell Classic.

Callum Pogue

Callum joined the Silverstone Social admin team in the summer of 2018. His main passion is the 80 series Audi. He also helps run a very successful Audi Owners Club and that mixed in with a busy job in retail sadly restricts Callum from being able to make every event. Any of our meets he can make though he is certainly the most active helper on site where he takes a very vocal role in organising parking and officials.

Callum’s main job is on site organisation and setup work. He is also a great motivator and a real people person who will be the first to help out with any member queries be it on site or through our Facebook Page.

Dee Brown

Dee joined the admin team towards the end of the 2018 Classic Car Season following a very helpful spell of enthusiasm helping marshal at our events and always a Happy Face supporting various events in her VW Beetle. She is well known among the members of the club and very highly respected.

Her role in our team is Registration Administrator. Dee is responsible for all of our member Registrations, Renewals, Registration Packs and also helps with ticket distribution where required. Dee will also be helping with on site organisation and promotion of select events during the year.

Barbara Walder

Barbara is one of the most enthusiastic people you will ever speak to about Silverstone Social. She got behind the concept from the start and without doubt soon became among the most well known people among members. Always very chatty and welcoming with incredible promotional skills. It made perfect sense to us to make Barbara our New Member Administrator.

We never like new members/visitors to our events to be walking round unnoticed and to miss out on the incredible Social side of the club so Barbara is always on hand to welcome new comers and make introductions. She is always kitted out in Silverstone Social Clothing and her Green VW Corrado is certainly among the most immaculate examples in the country and has featured in many magazine articles. Be sure to stop for a chat with Barbara at our meets.

Jane Hartley

Jane was there with Silverstone Social from the start and very well respected. A huge Car Nut she is at events almost every weekend photographing cars. We are proud to have Jane’s business- Motoring Waffle as our chosen Photographer at all of our events. Her photos can be found on the Motoring Waffle Facebook Page and are featured on our own website and Facebook page as well.
